Baringa congratulates EDF Renewables and Maple Power on winning French offshore wind tender for 1,000 MW project

We are delighted that EDF Renewables and Maple Power have been awarded the fourth French offshore wind tender (AO4) to develop and operate the Centre Manche 1 project off the coast of Normandy. Baringa supported the consortium as a market advisor by providing insights and power market projections for the project.
With a total capacity of 1,000 MW, the Centre Manche 1 tender is the largest offshore wind project ever awarded and developed in France. Expected to come online in 2031, it will substantially contribute towards the ambitious targets set by the French Government in 2022 to operate 18 GW of offshore wind by 2035, and 40 GW by 2050.
This tender outcome will ensure the access to a clean, reliable, and competitive source of energy for French households and industry over the next decades.
