In detail:
Pete leads Baringa’s natural gas and LNG market fundamentals and commercial advisory work.
He has spent over 20 years working in natural gas, initially as a journalist and for the last 18 years as a consultant. In that time, he has lead projects across Australia, the US, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, with his expertise lying in the LNG value chain, project development, and market analysis.
The intersection of business, politics, economics, and the environment is what keeps natural gas markets endlessly fascinating and dynamic for Pete and the interplay with other energy sectors is what makes Baringa such a great place to do this work.
Alongside advising clients through complex, first-of-a-kind and critical challenges and opportunities, Pete particularly enjoys building teams and developing people, achieving success through others is one of the aspects of consulting he values most.
Outside of work, Pete loves sport, especially cricket, which he plays whenever possible. He also follows Leeds United, enduring all of their emotionally challenging travails. He loves to cook (and eat) delicious food. He is married with two children and therefore also spend much of his time ferrying children to various clubs and classes.
