Douglas leads Baringa’s cyber capability in Australia, bringing over 24 years’ experience across financial services, government and critical infrastructure. He specialises in helping organisations build practical, enduring cyber capabilities that meaningfully reduce business risk.
Before joining Baringa, Douglas was a Principal at Deloitte, where he established and led the national Cyber Defence and Resilience Advisory and Implementation practice. He has deep expertise in cyber strategy, security operations centre (SOC) operating model design, threat and risk assessment, adversary simulation, and cyber resilience uplift. Douglas has a strong track record of guiding organisations through complex transformation in high risk environments.
At Baringa, Douglas works closely with boards, chief risk officers, CISOs and operational leaders to ensure cyber risk is governed with discipline, quantified in business terms, and addressed through targeted, evidence based investment decisions. Based in our Sydney office, Douglas works closely with clients across Australia.
Outside work, Doug enjoys yacht racing, sailing with his family and spending time with his energetic son.
