As we move forward to a Low Carbon Future, this webinar focuses on the challenge of European gas supply security in 2023

Webinar details:
Date: 7 December 2022
Time: 11:00 - 12:00 GMT
Duration: 60 mins
Language: English

The next 18 months are set to see the worst of Europe’s gas security of supply crisis, with the continent forced to face its first two winters without relying on large volumes of Russian gas, with a full year of current Russian supply levels meaning a further reduction of 40-50 bcm in 2023 as compared to 2022. The market is expected to continue being very volatile and turbulent in this period and the struggle by governments and market participants to deal with the supply gap and unprecedently high prices will reach its peak.

This webinar will explore and discuss:

  • The wide and evolving range of scenarios and risks still on the table and how to understand their evolution over the next 18 months, including which European markets may be most exposed to supply security risks.
  • The longer-term impacts of these dynamics.
  • Baringa’s insights on how the measures taken to address this crisis and the events of 2023 will play an important role in shaping the evolution of the global gas market that emerges from the crisis, from the volatility of prices to the role of gas and LNG in the global energy landscape.

The session will be hosted by Peter Thompson and Giovanni Bettinelli, experts in natural gas & LNG.
