In detail:
James is a chartered mechanical engineer by training. Prior to joining Baringa, he worked in R&D on green technologies for the home. When James moved into consulting, he brought this passion for green energy and decarbonisation with him, as well as an engineer’s eye for solving problems.
James has worked extensively across UK utilities where he focuses on energy retail – established, large businesses and ambitious energy challengers. He has been at the heart of many key transformations that shaped the sector. In every project, he looks for the balance between people and profit, and has a track record for delivering high returns on investment. Whether he’s helping improve core capabilities like billing and collections or ramping up the delivery of smart meters.
James lives in North London with his family. When time allows, he keeps up with football and rugby union, and most things sport. Although with two young daughters, this time is becoming increasingly limited!
