In detail:
Throughout his professional career, Theis has worked in commodity trading. He started out in industry and went on to lead Strategy & Consulting practices in various organisations in the Nordics, with a dedicated focus on commodity trading. He has a mathematical background and was introduced to commodity trading through his first full-time job in risk management. From there, his enthusiasm for the field only grew, along with his exposure and expertise, which came to span front- and back-office operations as well as the IT components essential for effectively managing a commodity trading business.
Theis helps organisations in the commodity trading sector transform. His experience here covers the entire value chain and he has practical experience in areas such as business development, IT redesign, market analysis, decarbonisation, risk and trading operating model, process optimization, and making better use of data and AI.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing hobbies such as board games, mountain biking and football. He shares his passion for football with his wife and two kids, who all play and/or coach at the local club. There, comradery and supporting the local community are just as important as the matches and results.
