In detail:
Jamie is a commercially focused sustainability leader with over 20 years’ experience. Understanding that sustainability should be grounded in organisational strategy, he has developed and implemented energy and carbon strategies for some of the world’s largest companies and government entities.
Based in Sydney, Jamie helps companies to develop and deliver strategic decarbonisation programmes to drive emissions reduction across their operations and position their business for a low carbon future. His guiding principle is to apply a commercial lens to sustainability and decarbonisation.
As a Director in Baringa’s Energy and Resources team, he works with clients across the mining, metals and industrial sectors to decarbonise their operations from the boardroom to the factory floor. Having foundational ‘site-level’ experience, working across this spectrum enables Jamie to bring that experience, and match it with his business training, to deliver real world outcomes.
Jamie has built a wealth of knowledge working within energy and emissions for clients across all sectors of the economy. His early consulting work included deep technical evaluation and implementation projects and evolved to incorporate company and country level energy and emission reduction strategy development.
Jamie brings his passion for engineering home. Whether it be developing an energy efficient home in the Blue Mountains, or working vintage motorcycles, he likes to keep his hands and his mind engaged.
