Katie is a Director in Baringa’s health consultancy team, with over 15 years of specialist experience in the health sector and a particular focus on the NHS. Katie has partnered with clients at every level of the health system, from national bodies such as NHS England and the Department of Health, to regional and system-level organisations including Integrated Care Systems and Boards, as well as acute and mental health providers. With a career spanning both private sector consultancies and more than five years working directly for the NHS, Katie brings a unique blend of deep sector knowledge and hands-on operational expertise.
Throughout her career, Katie has led a series of high-impact projects. She played a pivotal role in establishing NHS England’s Data Services following the NHSE/NHSD merger, running the transformation programme to develop strategies, structures, and processes for success. As Programme PMO Director for the Federated Data Platform, Katie oversaw the operational delivery of a major procurement, leading multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with executive stakeholders, health ministers, and public sector offices. She has also served as a trusted advisor for the Covid-19 and flu vaccination programme, developing the initial strategy and operating model for the national vaccine rollout, and has delivered numerous programmes in Provider Trusts across strategy, operating model, service transformation, and cost reduction.
Katie is passionate about improving the health system and delivering meaningful change for patients, drawing on her experience within the NHS and her ability to bring the best of private sector capabilities. Outside of work, Katie is a mum of two young children and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family in the Yorkshire countryside
