Known as JJ to colleagues and clients, John leads Baringa’s London Markets practice. He brings over two decades of experience in IT data strategy and large-scale programme delivery, with a particular focus on technology within London Markets and General Insurance.
A technologist by trade, JJ has led complex ERP implementations, data migrations, and architecture transformations that have delivered measurable improvements in financial accuracy, automation, and reporting. His deep understanding of IT strategy and architecture, combined with his hands-on approach, make him a go-to authority on complex, high-stakes programmes.
JJ began his career working for international banks and insurers, developing bespoke applications and data warehouses. This early experience gave him a strong technical foundation and a pragmatic mindset that continues to shape his consulting style today. Clients and colleagues alike value his calm leadership, collaborative spirit, and ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence.
Outside of work, JJ is a keen supporter of grassroots football and dedicates his time to coaching an under-15s team, where he brings the same energy and commitment that defines his professional life.
