David leads Baringa’s Data Analytics and AI practice, helping clients harness their data to unlock actionable insight.
David started his career in 1999 as a strategy consultant, developing his specialism in analytics from 2005 onwards as the need to gather, organise and dissect large volumes of data became ever more important to address his clients’ most pressing questions.
As such, David has tackled just about every challenge faced in the pursuit of better insight; helping clients improve data quality; embed enterprise-wide data governance; comply with data privacy regulations; integrate disparate data sets from ‘big’ to spreadsheet-small; structure data models for analysis; build and host dashboards; deploy advanced modelling techniques and machine learning; design and establish analytics operating models; and - most importantly – distilling analysis into easily understood messages.
David has supported FTSE 100 and global organisations, and also worked with many professional and Olympic sports teams – helping them to drive high performance through data.
Outside of work David is a father to three daughters and doting husband. He is a fanatical surfer and snowboarder, a retired footballer and creaking cricketer.
