FX in focus: Risk, efficiency, and liquidity

Enhancing cross-border flows and removing FX settlement risk is high on policymakers’ agendas. And, the industry is expected to come up with solutions to increase payment-versus-payment (PvP) protection, support trade and payment flows moving towards instant, while preserving FX contribution to banks' bottom lines. In this session, we’ll look at how we can strike the right balance between the need to better manage risks (especially on emerging market currencies), the efficiency gains that could be achieved through end-to-end transparency, and the benefits of netting and FX optimisation.
