Victoria has travelled to almost every country in Asia. The last to tick off is Japan, but that’s next on her list.
In detail:
Victoria leads, plans and executes complex, often multi-year business and technology transformation projects for energy and commodities trading clients. In 2020, she moved from Europe to Asia to further support our clients in the region from our Singapore hub, bringing expertise across trading operations, physical supply chain [freight] and process transformation [Lean].
One of the highlights of Victoria’s time at Baringa has been managing a multi technology transformation programme from project inception to delivery for a commodities trading client in freight and LNG. The other? Being part of the team that helped Baringa win the Energy Risk Asia Awards in both 2019 and 2020.
Prior to joining Baringa, Victoria was a consultant in upstream oil, gas and mining, where she worked across operations, supply chain and procurement. For example, one project was working on a greenfield mine site defining critical infrastructure processes.
Victoria’s rich experience means that she understands the breadth of business priorities across a vertically integrated commodities company and the different facets involved across the trading value chain. She can support clients across all of these areas, but most importantly, she knows how to bridge them together. At project inception she can drive the definition of a forward strategy, business case generation or system selection. And when it comes to planning and delivery, because of her experience in delivering change, Victoria can identify the complexities and navigate the delivery of people, process and technology.
Victoria is passionate about building diverse and inclusive cultures, shaped by her Taiwanese heritage and experience of living and working in a number of Asian and European countries. She heads up Diversity and Inclusion and other People initiatives in our Singapore hub and she also volunteers externally to drive D&I within the wider resources sector. Outside of work, you’ll find Victoria reading or learning new hobbies like beach volleyball and pottery. She is expecting her first child in 2023, and she’s looking forward to her next chapter as a mother and consultant.
