As in the consumer world, people now have higher expectations from a smorgasbord of healthcare providers. As a result, there are a plethora of opportunities for pharmaceutical organisations which partner better with their customers and reinvent their role in supporting people and patients across their holistic healthcare needs."

After studying languages at university, Sam found a career in consulting that allowed her to combine her language skills and cultural awareness along with her unwavering focus and passion for the customer within a business setting. Sam spent her early career focused on end-to-end delivery of commercial CRM and Digital Content solutions and ways of working. She soon became particularly engaged in how to translate business strategy into the operational realities of customer-facing teams to deliver sustainable change. Working with global, regional and local teams, she has built a depth of knowledge on how to bridge this gap for many organisations across technology and operating model transformation and implementation.
Sam began working within global pharma on commercial transformation programmes, sparking an industry match with her passion for health and fitness. A pivot point came when her own personal chronic health journey got her thinking about the future role of pharma and life science organisations in a more holistic and changing healthcare environment, where the pill is no longer enough. People and patients go through a complex journey from prevention through cure and care and now have access to an ecosystem of healthcare providers and information. They blend nutrition, exercise, mindfulness, mental and physical health and through a network of supporters they manage their care. This creates a complex landscape for both them and those that care for them.
Sam uses both her personal and business experience to help her clients work through these complexities to achieve their visions of being truly patient centric. Sam does this by partnering with her clients to help them best organise themselves and embed the right capabilities and talent in the right places to support the customers and patients they serve. Through this process, Sam also places great value on creating better synergies and collaboration across the Commercial business.
At home, Sam lives with her husband and two energetic young girls on the Surrey / West Sussex borders, where they are doing up their property and enjoy exploring the outdoors. In spare and calmer moments, Sam loves getting out on her bike or hopping out for a swim, sometimes in local lakes when the weather is kind!
