Mayur Bhaskar is a partner in Baringa’s Australian Energy and Resources practice, based in Melbourne. He joined Baringa in 2026 as part of the firm’s continued expansion of its Australian business.

Mayur brings more than two decades of experience across the Asia‑Pacific region, advising energy and utilities organisations as they navigate regulatory reform, market transformation and increasing system complexity. He works closely with senior leaders to support confident decision‑making in environments shaped by geo-political volatility, policy change and the practical realities of the energy transition.

Before joining Baringa, Mayur was a Managing Director at Accenture, where he led the Utilities and Energy sector across Australia and New Zealand and held the role of Melbourne Office Leader. In these roles, he partnered with executive teams across the region on large‑scale transformation, operational improvement and customer‑focused change, helping organisations adapt to rapidly evolving market and regulatory conditions.

At Baringa, Mayur works with clients to cut through complexity, clarify trade‑offs and translate analysis into decisions that stand up in real‑world markets. He is known for attracting the best talent, his collaborative, pragmatic approach and for grounding strategy in a deep understanding of how consumer mindset, energy systems and markets operate in practice. 

When not working, Mayur spends his time with his family in Melbourne, and enjoys photography, reading, hiking, jiu‑jitsu, chess and any competitive team sport.
