At Baringa, Martin helps utilities, investors, and regulators make sense of the grid edge — where traditional business models meet changing power markets and behind-the-meter resources like electric vehicles, flexible load, and microgrids. Martin’s work combines strategy, technical insight, and economic modeling to guide decisions on everything from integrated resource planning to system resilience investments.
Martin has supported utilities and developers in deploying renewable energy, led business-case development for efficiency and electrification programs, and provided strategic & economic analysis for energy infrastructure transactions. Most recently, Martin developed a microgrid valuation model for an electric utility to help support the case for investment and analyzed a portfolio of solar assets to determine economic value and customer decision-making.
Outside of work, Martin rides more rollercoasters than most adults would admit to, enjoys a good trail run and mountain hike, and experiments in the kitchen. Martin is an avid reader, so any good book recommendations are welcome!
