In detail:
Jo’s background is in business management and Spanish. This experience gifted her with curiosity and a thirst to both learn and solve problems – leading her to consulting. Over the past 15 years Jo has worked across energy and resources, spending the last decade focused primarily in the water sector. Jo has thoroughly enjoyed working across multiple stakeholder types within the industry, for water companies, the regulator and trade bodies. She’s developed expert knowledge through working across business retail, developer services and smart metering.
A highlight of her time at Baringa has been witnessing the growth of the water and sustainability practice, and the growing awareness of our water scarcity challenge. Increasingly people are recognising the risk of water scarcity on their business operations and are seeking to understand and act. Water efficiency is close to Jo’s heart. She is a proud owner of four squashed water butts and is keen to see water companies, communities and individuals working together to value and protect this precious resource.
Outside of work Jo is kept busy with a husband, two small children and an over-needy cockerpoo. What Jo lacks in sporting ability she makes up for with enthusiasm, with mixed results.
