Jo is a Partner in Baringa’s Energy & Resources Practice, where she leads Strategy Advisory for the sector and US Clients & Markets. She has two decades of experience advising and leading organizations across the energy value chain, commodity markets and in the Finance & Risk domain.
Throughout her career, Jo has advised international and national oil companies, commodity trading organizations, funds and financial institutions and government entities; she is an expert in enterprise transformation, investment strategy, trading optimization, market entry, and business resilience.
Jo previously served as Global Head of Downstream, Trading, Midstream & Chemicals Strategy at Chevron. Prior to Chevron, she was a Senior Partner at Oliver Wyman and Americas Head of Commodity Risk & Trading. Jo has also played a continuing role in guiding global and local energy systems, serving on the boards of the Sustainable Markets Initiative and Greater Houston Partnership, contributing to the Paris Climate Accord and partnering with energy, financial services and insurance companies to define financial frameworks for energy investments (implemented by Sustainable Fitch).
While a proud Brit, Joanne has lived across Europe, the Middle East, West Africa and now the US; having relocated to Houston 3 years ago, Texas has become home.
