In detail:

Helen began her career in the NHS where her journey took her from working clinically in critical care departments through to working at Board level in an acute hospital. Whilst on this journey, Helen completed her PhD, and was instrumental in setting up one of the UK’s first Wellcome Trust clinical research facilities. Helen has always been passionate about delivering effective people and business change and on leaving the NHS joined a global consultancy delivering complex change programmes for health and energy clients. Helen came to Baringa in 2016 to grow our people, talent and change capabilities, and now leads our change team.

Helen works with clients who face complex transformation journeys. She supports them to develop and deliver change programmes that bring about effective, sustainable change and not only deliver on business objectives and benefits, but also inspire and grow the people involved. These programmes, while necessary, require large and disruptive changes in organisations. Helen believes that at the heart of any large change programme are people. Working collaboratively and directly with them – rather than imposing change – is crucial for her to deliver impact that lasts beyond the end of the project.

Helen has experience across a myriad of change programmes from translating strategy and policy into operational reality, to supporting clients who are grappling with digital transformation programmes to meet constantly increasing customer expectations. She’s pragmatic and practical and uses her experience to distil what initially appear to be overwhelming challenges into manageable programmes of work.

Helen loves the countryside, enjoys walking and getting outdoors whenever she can with her three wayward dogs. She’s also a keen beekeeper and finds the practice therapeutic and rewarding knowing that approximately one third of the food we eat is the result of honeybee pollination.
