What job would you be doing in another life
If I were not a consultant, I would love to be a private chef in a resort area. I love feeding people, and I think people on vacation are generally pretty happy. What a fun way to meet new people while doing something I love!
In detail:
Ashley-Rachelle Horstman is a Partner in Baringa’s Energy & Resources practice, based in Houston. She focuses on helping downstream energy clients solve complex challenges as trade-offs increase and organizations, processes, and data and systems struggle to keep up. She partners closely with leaders to improve decision-making models and enable teams to adopt new ways of working.
Ashley-Rachelle’s work spans the Downstream value chain, with nearly 20 years of management consulting experience partnering with leading refiners and downstream organizations. She has worked across engineering organizations, commercial optimization, supply chain, and fuels and lubricants marketing, bringing a connected view of how commercial value, operations, and data come together.
She is well versed in a variety of transformations, including cost reduction, organization and operating model changes, digital and AI solution development, and major system implementation. She thrives in helping organizations turn these changes into practical improvements in performance.
Ashley-Rachelle feels strongly about building teams with diverse skillsets and backgrounds, having seen first-hand that this creates the most resilient solutions. She is passionate about investing in the growth of those around her and finding the things that makes each individual shine.
Outside of work, Ashley-Rachelle can be found spending time with her family – exploring a new park, cheering on a dancer or budding thespian, cooking a fun new meal, or watching a “old” movie from the 90’s. When she has a little more time, she has started exploring national parks.
