Bruce joined Baringa with more than 18 years of experience in the Capital Markets industry which combines roles in industry and consulting - being a Partner at one of the ‘Big 4’ for 6 years. He led a Risk IT team within an Investment Bank which implemented 3rd Party solutions as well as built bespoke solutions to support the Risk Management and broader stakeholder requirements. As a consultant, Bruce has worked predominantly with the Risk, Compliance, Operations, IT, Data and Regulatory teams to address their regulatory, efficiency, control and cost concerns. This industry and consulting background allows Bruce to deliver the required business and IT outcomes needed by his clients in a pragmatic and collaborative way.
As a member of the Capital Markets team, Bruce will lead and support the mobilisation, design, management and delivery of projects ranging from solutions for individual functions through to full front-to-back programmes needed by his clients. He has a proven track record of helping clients define their requirements and converting these into delivery programmes which are then successfully managed through to implementation. His previous projects cover Risk and Trade Management system implementations, operating model design, regulatory programme management and delivery, programme portfolio management and cross-functional change covering Risk, Compliance, Operations, IT and Front Office. Bruce is pragmatic, calm, honest and committed to delivery of business outcomes. His collaborative style means he works well with teams from multiple functions, disciplines and vendors.
Outside of work, Bruce enjoys watching most sports and goes running to get himself off the couch. His two small children are slowly (and sometimes reluctantly) developing a passion for outdoor activity shared by their Mom, Michelle, while Bruce encourages their love for reading, music, homework(!) and trying to use technology sparingly.
