Andrew is a Partner within the Energy and Resources practice. Having worked in the energy and commodity trading markets since 2002, he has a background that started on the supply optimisation, trading and gas dispatch desks at a large multinational oil and gas corporation, and from where, over fifteen years ago, he joined Baringa.
Andrew specialises in helping organisations to assess the need for, initiate and deliver material business and solution changes across the Energy and Commodity Trading landscape. He is one of the lead specialists for IT Architecture Design, as well as Trading and Risk Management solution selection and delivery. He has a deep understanding of the trading markets, the technical solutions and the front to back business models implemented within them. He spearheads the continual development and refinement of the Baringa Trading Capability Model, adapting it to the changing markets as well as leading the Baringa Operational Efficiency survey – these provide a deep functional understanding of the industries we work within, supporting our deliveries with substantial market insight.
Andrew’s clients vary from investment banks to gas and oil majors, vertically integrated utilities and commodity trading organisations. He has helped these organisations initiate small and large scale programmes to transform the operations of these businesses to better meet their strategic goals.
Andrew lives in South Bucks with his wife and two boys – he loves his sport, although these days often finds that he is ferrying his boys to play significantly more sport than he does!
