David joined Baringa Partners in 2012 and is the global lead of Baringa’s Energy and Resources practice. He has 20 years of consulting experience working with energy companies to help them define and deliver transformational change within their businesses. The practices he leads are located across Europe, Singapore, Australia and the US, and deliver projects globally.
The global power markets are experiencing unprecedented change as the need to address climate change coupled with the advent of new energy technologies are creating more distributed, intermittent and digitized energy systems. David and Baringa’s 400-strong team of Energy and Resources market experts therefore spend their time helping energy companies, investors, technology providers and policy makers/regulators navigate these market changes by typically doing one or more of the following:
· Determining their strategy or investment decisions,
· Identifying new commercial opportunities and helping make the necessary changes to capture them,
· Structuring and running more effective businesses to deliver better customer outcomes at lower cost.
David particularly enjoys helping organisations define their future market ambitions and then building the roadmap of change that is required in a commercially orientated and pragmatic way to ultimately make the outcomes deliverable.
David is proud that the Financial Times has ranked us the leading advisory business in the Energy, Utilities & Environment sector in the UK for the last three years running.
David lives in London with his wife Kate and their two children. He is very happy that his kids have begrudgingly acknowledged that what their Dad does is “kinda cool” now that Climate Change has become a globally recognised priority.
