Global advisory firm Baringa has entered into an agreement with independent energy technology company Origami to take over its Distribution System Operation (DSO) consulting business.
The acquisition will bring senior team members and their ongoing client projects into Baringa’s existing DSO business. Baringa is already an international leader in the DSO transition advising clients across Europe, US and Australia, and is seeking to further bolster its capabilities.
Duncan Sinclair, who leads Baringa's Energy Networks practice, said: "We have a long and trusted relationship with Origami as a client and partner. We are really excited about adding their DSO consulting team to our business, to build on the ground-breaking work they have been doing in this space, and to further consolidate Baringa’s position as market leader here."
For Origami, the divestment aligns with the strategic decision to focus on the continued development of its core technology platform.
