Digital transformation of a retailer

Transforming a market leading retailer to become a digital company with physical stores and a human touch

Client Requirement

Worten is a market leader in home appliances, consumer electronics and entertainment. The company operates through a network of 220 stores in Portugal and Spain and a digital channel. Uncompromising technological innovation in customer offering and internal operations have been key to Worten’s strong market position and profitability, but the business is very aware of the threat of digital disruption.

Worten’s vision is to become a digital company with physical stores, and a human touch. The business had clear aspirations for their digital transformation programme, and sought Baringa’s support in defining the detail behind this, and bringing this vision to life.

Baringa’s role and outcomes

Baringa supported Worten with the development of their digital vision and principles, the definition of ‘key moments’ for customers to bring this to life, and the development of a roadmap to deliver these moments for their customers.

Felipe Ferreira, Head of Digital transformation, Worten

“We are transforming the company through the digital transformation program, which Baringa has helped us to design. Baringa helped us in the discussion and conclusion of what the principles of our digital transformation should be, and the identification and guidance for the implementation of the first two ‘key moments’, or in other words, in the moments that have the most impact on our customers.”
