Baringa Elects David Hatcher as Managing Partner to lead Next Chapter of Global Growth
13 January 2026
Global consulting firm Baringa has announced the election of David Hatcher as its new Managing Partner, effective April 2026. David will succeed Adrian Bettridge, who has driven over a decade of growth and transformation for the company.
Adrian joined Baringa in 2007, when the firm was a boutique consultancy comprising just 50 employees, to establish and lead its Financial Services practice. After growing the practice to 100 people through the global financial crisis, Adrian was elected as the Managing Partner in 2014. Today, the firm boasts a team of over 2,000 experts across 14 countries, providing consulting services to clients across multiple industry sectors.
Reflecting on his tenure, Adrian Bettridge said:
“Leading Baringa has been the highlight of my consulting career. Together, we’ve disrupted the consulting market by creating a high-performance culture that puts kindness and curiosity at its core. This culture has enabled us to harness the brightest talent, deliver world-leading expertise, and co-create impactful solutions to our clients’ toughest challenges. By putting people first, we’ve built something truly extraordinary – a firm where the focus on people enables us to deliver incredible client impact. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together.
“With David as our new Managing Partner, I’m confident that Baringa will continue to grow, innovate, and deliver even greater value for our clients in the coming decade. David exemplifies the qualities that make Baringa special – his kindness, dedication, and focus on delivering exceptional outcomes for clients will be instrumental in shaping Baringa’s next chapter.”
David Hatcher joined Baringa in 2012 from EY and in recent years has led the firm’s work in the Energy and Resources sector. As head of the practice, he established Baringa as a market leader and expanded its work across four continents, helping clients achieve transformative change and impactful financial outcomes through the integration of deep industry expertise and cutting-edge technology solutions.
On his appointment, David expressed his excitement for the future:
“Being elected Managing Partner is a huge honour and privilege. Over the years, we’ve taken bold steps to become an international leader, expanding into new industries and geographies while staying true to our values. As a result, we’ve maintained our standing as one of the best employers in all the markets we serve. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished, and the opportunities in front of us are equally exciting.
“The consulting market is undergoing a period of change as technologies like artificial intelligence transform the way we work and solve business challenges. This evolution presents incredible opportunities for Baringa to continue disrupting the market and delivering powerful results for our clients. By pairing our deep industry knowledge with leading technology capabilities and maintaining our award-winning people-first culture, I am confident we’ll set the standard for consulting innovation and client impact in the decade ahead.”
Adrian will remain closely involved with Baringa both during and after the transition, serving as an advisor to the leadership team and supporting global clients.
