Michael is a Partner in the Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) practice. Prior to joining Baringa, he held senior leadership roles for large global software and management consulting firms, and academic positions at Oxford and Cambridge.
Michael has spent the last 20 years helping organisations improve with the use of analytics, mathematical modelling, machine learning and AI. This has been through engagements and the provision of services and solutions across a breadth of business areas including customer, operations, risk, regulatory and strategy. Michael has worked for leading global firms in banking, insurance, telecoms, retail, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, energy and major government departments.
Throughout his career, Michael has worked closely and collaboratively with cross functional and departmental teams, to identify and deliver data and machine intelligence that creates greater insights, defines new strategies, and drives better performance. He has also helped redefine operating models, business and technology strategies, controls and governance frameworks, and implement enterprise systems.
Outside work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and in particular helping his two young boys explore London and the countryside beyond. He was an avid sportsman, having played football, rugby and a martial art competitively, and now focusses on cycling to keep fit.
