Despite my very British accent, I was born in Sri Lanka, and grew up in Asia and Africa (where I picked up my fluent French)

Whether he’s coaching a new CFO in the boardroom, or his son on the rugby field, Brynne’s at his best when working with other people, and has a knack for getting the best out of them too.
Part of that knack comes from experience. With over 20 years in the industry, Brynne knows there’s no challenge so big or so complicated it can’t be solved with a great team on-side. That knowledge gives him an unflappable confidence that rubs off on the people around him.
One of Brynne’s proudest moments came when he merged two of the world’s biggest trading houses at record-breaking speed. Between London and Singapore, he and a tight-knit team spent days solving challenges piece by piece, and evenings discovering the best food spots in the city. They pulled off the merger, and started a new branch of Baringa in the process. Since then, our Singapore hub has grown at pace, with Brynne playing a key role in its development. He counts Singapore as one of his favourite places – with Madrid, Düsseldorf and Malmö close behind.
Brynne isn’t one to pad around a problem, or accept things as they are if ‘as they are’ isn't as good as it should be. It’s only by becoming part of his clients’ teams, so that tough conversations don’t feel like tough conversations, that he’s able to do what he does best: drill down to the root of a problem, and solve it.
Out of hours, Brynne’s home life is set to an eclectic musical backdrop – everything from Guns N Roses, to George Ezra, to Rudimental. It’s an ever-changing soundtrack that connects him to memories, and changes with his mood.
