In detail: 

Ben is a partner in Baringa’s Financial Services practice and leads our Transaction Banking and Payments business.

A true financial services thought leader, with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, Ben started his career at Citigroup and ABN Amro before moving into consultancy in 2008.

Ben has a wealth of international experience and a global perspective, with a specialism in strategy implementation, operating model design, infrastructure and technology transformation.

Ben is passionate about the future of the industry, including the opportunities that the evolution of the internet will bring. He has worked extensively in the commercial corporate transaction banking and payment space where he has built up strong relationships and trust, in particular at two of Baringa’s biggest financial services clients. He will work alongside his clients to define their major strategic decisions, but then helps them drive their transformation programmes forward.

Ben has a true passion for developing talent at all levels and loves coaching others to achieve their greatest potential. He uses his natural dynamism to good effect, constantly looking for new ways to improve customer engagement. Ben is a frequent presenter at industry forums, where he shares insights on the transformation of the industry.

Away from work Ben plays several instruments and enjoys an eclectic mix of music from Above and Beyond to the Foo Fighters. He enjoys obscure music festivals, which he has often takes his children along to. As a father of two, physical and mental well-being are a priority for Ben. He and his family regularly hit the gym together, but he also likes to get out on his own for a run where he can and has done a number of sponsored distances over the last few years.
