Sabina is a Partner in our US practice and focuses on developing Baringa’s financial services capabilities. She and her team work across banking, capital markets, insurance and asset management and support clients with operationalizing data, addressing regulatory requirements and data mining for cost optimization and resilience.
Sabina has more than 25 years of experience in financial services: she started her career in banking, where she managed several large underwriting, banking re-platform and treasury transformation projects. She then went on to work in high tech, where she was part of an M&A team and led multiple global front office core system rollouts. For the last 16 years, Sabina has been working as a consultant and supports some of the largest financial institutions in Europe and the US at the intersection of business, technology, and data.
As a ‘futurist’, Sabina is passionate about change and innovation. She enjoys bringing new ideas to the table which address future opportunities and risk, as well as exploring how things work. One of her key motivators is digging in with the team to shape practical and implementable solutions for clients’ challenges.
In recent years, Sabina has worked with fintechs, academia and technology providers and stood up an innovation center in NYC and a banking consortium for AML in the US. This has allowed her to stay at the forefront of innovation in the constantly evolving technology and banking ecosystem. Since her time at university, Sabina has taken a keen interest in renewable energy. Her thesis is on Financial Modelling of Wind Farming.
Sabina is passionate about what she does and likes to push boundaries. Over the years she has given most water sports – from canoeing and sailing to kitesurfing – a go, and has a basement full of unused sports gear as more recently she is spending time with her little girl who keeps her more than busy and grounded.
