In detail:

Giovanni leads Baringa’s natural gas market modelling work and the development of Baringa’s forward-looking market analysis. He also supports a wide range of clients in the gas industry in tackling commercial and strategic challenges, from the monetisation of natural gas resources to the development of strategies aimed at adapting natural gas businesses to a decarbonising energy market.

Giovanni got into the energy industry shortly after his Master’s degree in physics, looking to apply his analytical skills to the challenges of a rapidly transforming energy market. He spent a brief period in the retail energy industry developing demand forecasting models, before joining the world of consultancy with a focus on the gas and LNG industries and he has never looked back.

The element of his work that he enjoys the most is being able to combine analytical and strategic skills. He feels at home supporting clients in leveraging market insights to address strategic concerns and developing commercial models to monetise resources and bring to life new projects. He enjoys exploring difficult challenges and challenging the accepted ways of doing things.

Giovanni loves music and plays the organ at his local church on most Sundays. He also enjoys hiking and almost anything that involves spending most of the day outside.
