David has led the Insurance practice at Baringa Partners since joining in 2010. He has 25 years of consulting experience, with the last 15 years focused on the Insurance industry. He has extensive experience of shaping and delivering business and IT change programmes and has worked for the majority of the major General and Life and Pension insurers in the UK. He has built a broad range of skills during this time, including defining business priorities, securing senior stakeholder support, shaping and mobilising programmes and managing execution to deliver business results. He has also has specific experience of defining and delivering business and IT integration following mergers and acquisitions.
In recent years, David has continued to work closely with clients during critical shaping and mobilisation phases as well as undertaking deep dive reviews of in-flight programmes. He has overall responsibility for Baringa's work across our insurance clients and particularly enjoys working with clients to construct consulting arrangements that fit with their specific challenges, culture and existing capabilities.
David has a teenage daughter at school in York who in her younger days introduced him to horse-riding and ice-skating (somewhat unsuccessfully). He has now given these up and focuses on cycling and triathlons events to keep fit, but given the choice his ideal pass-time would be sitting at Lords in the sunshine watching cricket.
