I joined the company in August 2008 into the Financial Services practice. I had recently moved from Australia to the United Kingdom and was looking to expand my finance experience in a larger market place. Prior to this I spent 5 years as a Business Process and Design consultant for a global management consulting company based in Sydney. Having come from a large organisation, where sometimes it felt difficult to been seen, I was apprehensive about how I felt about joining a specialised consultancy. But what I have found most amazing was the sense of family the organisation has. Having come to a new country with little local contact the company has been extremely supportive and welcomed me as soon as I started.

From day one, of joining the company, I was told I would be working at a leading UK bank on a project that was heavily based in business process and functional design. I remember thinking that this was almost exactly like what I had left behind......until I started working. As soon as I sat down at my desk I knew something was different. The company allows you to move at your own pace and be heavily involved in the direction of your own career. They encourage you to train in different areas and I felt I was no longer a component of the machine but had the freedom to suggest changes to methods and influence operations within the company. I have been involved in the development of areas of industry focus within Financial Services as well as determining where client opportunities are in the market place. This stretched my skills and pushed my expertise to a new level.

Outside of the office I spend my time with my friends, both new and old and try to see family as often as time allows. I try to travel as much as possible during my spare time. Whether it's backpacking or in 5 star style, the thrill is in finding something new every time. In the last 6 months I have visited 7 different countries and I intend to keep my feet moving for as long as possible.
