I have been with Baringa over a year now and as soon as I joined I realised I’d made the right move. Straight away I was talking with the Retail Energy & Utilities Senior management about our potential clients and what our strategy, approach and offerings as a firm would be. I was fully involved with what I’d signed up to this industry for, consulting.

I’ve already had a number roles in my time at Baringa and each one has verified that I am in the right firm to grow my experience and develop my career in the way I want. The roles have been varied and interesting and have been single point or operating in a small team with a high level of responsibility. Coming from a large consultancy firm this was a breath of fresh air as you see the difference you make adding massive value as an individual which is really satisfying.

An example of this was a single point role at one of our Major Utilities clients developing medium to long term asset investment strategies. These investments required justifying to the industry regulatory body. I was involved in producing the investment cases with senior clients and developing complex cost benefit analyses. This was a piece of work I had a full ownership of and was proud of the results that I produced with monetary differences to the investment cases of over £150m.

When I am outside the office I am definitely outdoors. My passions tend to involve riding bikes, snowboards or skis down mountains very fast. There is a huge variety of people with different interests and passions in this firm and everyone is genuinely interested in one another. There is a high level of acceptance and trust within Baringa which leaves you feeling like you belong to a special company and a great group of people!
