In detail:
Hailing from the Great White North, Rigel graduated with a degree in finance and accounting before completing his chartered accountancy designation in Ontario, Canada.
Rigel’s passion for travel, new cultures and problem solving have built the foundations for a career spanning many sectors and global markets. He brings over 12 years’ experience working in audit, finance and consulting at global mining corporations, banks and insurance companies across Canada, the US and Australia.
Following a move to London in 2016, Rigel turned his attention to consulting in the UK market. Here, he’s focused on helping CFOs achieve their short- and long-term goals as the future of finance continues to evolve. He’s led multiple large-scale finance transformations, improving core processes through automation, digitisation and operating model reinvention. Rigel also lends his keen interest in climate and sustainability to help CFOs navigate the ever-changing landscape of ESG regulation and disclosures.
At his core, Rigel believes that collaboration is the key to success – both with clients and colleagues. He commits to working closely with clients to tackle tough issues and deliver change. And as a dedicated team member, he strives to create a psychologically safe environment for his colleagues and support them in their growth – this is what gets him out of bed every day!
In his spare time, Rigel likes nothing more than escaping the city to spend time in nature and satisfy his taste for adventure. A keen trail hiker, he’s scaled mountain ranges and volcanoes, and also loves scuba diving on reefs and shipwrecks. When not exploring the great outdoors, Rigel can usually be found on the hunt for a good cup of coffee, experimenting with new cuisines and taking in a theatre show, concert or festival as often as possible.
