In detail:
Ralph is a Partner in our Energy, Utilities and Resources practice. He is based near Frankfurt am Main. Ralph specialises in helping utilities firms transform how they run their businesses using technology and process optimisation. As part of this, he works with senior executives to define and build the utilities of the future.
Ralph started his career as a lawyer, then destiny took a different turn, and he’s spent the rest of his career working as a consultant in the utilities industry. Across positions at several firms, he’s always focused on large-scale transformation programmes involving people, processes and technology. His background in law comes in handy, because it gives him a broader perspective of clients’ businesses and helps him anticipate potential risks and pitfalls in plans. His career highlights include partnering with one client to design and consolidate a new CRM and billing system with a first of its kind delivery model and helping another to overhaul its operating model to set the business up for long-term success.
Everyone who works with Ralph can see his strong commitment to successful project delivery. He’s a big believer in looking at situations from the client’s perspective and speaking up if he spots problems. His favourite projects involve defining a high-level strategy, then getting down into the detail to make sure it’s executed well.
Ralph’s also very passionate about helping others. He loves working with clients to achieve great results. And he also supports his team members to help them become future leaders. What he loves about Baringa is that the value we place on looking after our clients and our people.
Ralph loves the opportunity to experience other countries and cultures – whether that’s in his working life or his free time. One of his all-time highlights was a 3-month trip across the Australian outback. He also loves spending time outside closer to home, whether that’s hiking or cycling or motorbiking. And when he and his wife finally relax on the sofa and put their feet up, they’re sure to be joined by their cat Cleo.
