What suprises people about me
Outside the office I am an incorrigible sports nut who will still be pulling on the cricket boots, tennis shoes, golf spikes, cycling shoes and football boots when I’m old enough to know better. Fortunately, I have a young sports nut of a son to keep me company.
In detail:
Phil started his career with IBM, spent several years working for investment banks in London and most recently ten years leading Deloitte’s transformation risk capability. He has over 30 years’ experience of complex technology and business change projects, with a focus on transformation in the banking and financial services sector including core banking replacement programs, risk transformations and financial crime transformations.
As a Partner in Baringa’s financial services team, Phil provides specialist risk, assurance, compliance, and advisory services to some of Australia's largest companies. He has a detailed understanding of the challenges faced by large banks and other organizations in areas such as project portfolio management and delivery, project risk control, information security, operational risk, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
Phil helps clients to deliver successful transformation through intelligent project design, program and portfolio reviews, project turnaround and restructuring or by acting as an advisor and mentor to project sponsors and steering committees overseeing large transformation delivery teams.
Phil lives with his young family on Sydney’s northern beaches. He loves to be outside playing sport with the kids or inside cooking a meal, eating one or finding a good bottle of wine to go with it.
