Artur grew up as a budding sailing champ, representing Poland on the National Sailing Team. His sports career gave him the opportunity to see and explore different parts of the world, sparking a fascination with the economic disparities and environmental fragilities he saw before him. This experience inspired him to pursue a master's degree focusing on energy and environmental economics.
After graduation, Artur’s first job was in a fast-growing e-commerce start-up, which he helped launch in new markets. Artur was then accepted onto the European Commission’s traineeship programme where he undertook economic analysis of the EU energy sector.
Besides leaving him with a penchant for Belgian beer and mussels in garlic sauce, this Brussels experience solidified his interest in working within energy transition. He pursued this further with roles at a leading energy company and later moved into consulting.
Artur counts himself lucky to have a job he is truly passionate about. In his current role, he helps businesses reduce their environmental footprint by creating decarbonisation strategies, setting science-based targets, and implementing innovative solutions like power purchase agreements.
At the same time, he supports business leaders in building high-value, resilient business models that turn sustainability into a competitive advantage. He is driven by the belief that business success and positive impact on the environment and society go hand in hand.
To solve complex client problems, Artur combines rigorous data analysis and insight creation with collaborative client interaction. He particularly enjoys running creative thinking and strategy simulation workshops that push clients to think beyond the business-as-usual and lead to innovative solutions to thorny challenges.
Beyond work, Artur enjoys exploring off-the-beaten-track destinations (northern Albania being a recent favourite), honing his lockdown-learnt mixology skills, and even conquering Mount Kilimanjaro despite severe bouts of altitude sickness. He unwinds and rebalances with outdoor sports and enjoys getting away to go sailing, surfing, or skiing.
