I started my career in the Energy Industry, working for both National Grid Co and Scottish & Southern Energy. More recently, I’ve worked for HSBC and JP Morgan Chase in the Financial Services Sector in a number of different businesses, including Retail Banking, Securities Services, Operational Risk, and IT. Having had such a range of different roles, I felt the next step for me was to consider working in consultancy, which would continue to offer me a range of new challenges. I like nothing better than to learn on the job, but also to be part of a close team that strives to improve and excel. On that note, Baringa Partners seemed a great fit!

My initial interviews were with the energy practice, first with a manager, followed by a second stage interview with two directors. In late December an opportunity came up in the Financial Services practice so I had a further, more informal interview with an FS manager and joined Baringa Partners’ FS practice in January 2008.

From my first day at Baringa Partners I have been working at the client’s site. I am currently part of the PMO (Programme Management Office) on the Advanced Basel II programme at Lloyds TSB with a few others from Baringa Partners. Working in such a mixed team has been a great advantage to joining Baringa Partners, but even so, whether with or without others from Baringa Partners on your project, the FS team is very close knit and welcoming. By joining such a smaller and more focused company I have gained a closer working team and also the perfect opportunity to develop my skills as a consultant.
